Biography
Isidore Mankofsky (1931–2021) was an American cinematographer. He began his career shooting educational films for Encyclopædia Britannica and made his feature debut on Scream Blacula Scream (1973).
Mankofsky is best known for his work on The Muppet Movie (1979), Somewhere in Time (1980), The Jazz Singer (1980), Better Off Dead... (1985) and One Crazy Summer (1986). He also shot Ewoks: The Battle for Endor (1985) and the theme-park attraction MuppetVision 3-D (1991). A three-time Emmy nominee, he received the American Society of Cinematographers Presidents Award in 2009.
