Biography
Lee Ji-eun, known professionally as IU, is a South Korean singer and actress. She made her acting debut in the 2011 television series Dream High and has since taken lead roles in dramas including The Producers (2015), Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo (2016), My Mister (2018) and Hotel del Luna (2019).
In film, she appeared in the 2019 anthology Persona and made her commercial feature debut as single mother So-young in Hirokazu Kore-eda’s Broker (2022), which premiered in competition at the Cannes Film Festival. She later starred as Lee So-min in the 2023 sports comedy Dream.
