Biography

J.O. Taylor, also credited as James O. Taylor, was an American cinematographer. He was born in Virginia in 1887 and began working in film during the silent era, with credits from 1916 onwards.

Taylor contributed to numerous feature films through the late 1920s and early 1930s. He is best known for his work as one of the cinematographers on King Kong (1933) and The Son of Kong (1933).

He died in Los Angeles, California, in 1974.
