Biography
J.R. Hawbaker is a costume designer whose credits include both feature films and television series. She trained at DePaul University’s Theatre School, graduating with a BFA in 2005.
She served as assistant costume designer on films including Argo (2012), Knight of Cups (2015), Song to Song (2017) and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016). Hawbaker received her first lead credit as costume designer on the feature Amsterdam (2022). Her television work includes designing costumes for series such as The Man in the High Castle (2016), Strange Angel (2018–2019), The Terror (2019), Fargo (2020) and Gaslight (2021). She has received BAFTA and other award nominations.
