Biography
Jack Arnold (born John Arnold Waks) was an American film and television director. He began his career making documentaries and industrial films before moving into feature films at Universal Studios in the early 1950s.
He is known for directing several science fiction films of the 1950s, including It Came from Outer Space (1953), Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954), Tarantula (1955) and The Incredible Shrinking Man (1957). He also directed episodes of the television series Rawhide (1959) and later worked on numerous other television shows.
