Biography
Jack Moran, also known as Jackie Moran or John E. Moran, was an American screenwriter and former actor. Born in Mattoon, Illinois, he began his career as a child performer, appearing in more than 30 films between 1936 and 1946, including roles in Gone with the Wind (1939) and Since You Went Away (1944).
After retiring from acting, Moran turned to screenwriting in the 1950s and 1960s. He wrote several screenplays for director Russ Meyer, including Wild Gals of the Naked West (1962) and Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! (1965), on which he received credit for the screenplay. He also appeared as an actor in some of these films.
Moran died of cancer on 20 September 1990 in Greenfield, Massachusetts, aged 67.
