Biography
Jacques Ertaud (18 November 1924 – 18 November 1995) was a French film director, screenwriter and occasional actor. He appeared as Orsini in Robert Bresson's A Man Escaped (1956).
Ertaud co-directed the mountaineering documentary Stars at Noon (1959) with Marcel Ichac; the film was entered in the 9th Berlin International Film Festival. He later directed numerous television dramas and series, including Maria Vandamme (1989) and Le prix du silence (1989).
