Biography
Jakob Højlev Jørgensen is a Danish actor, also credited as Jacob Højlev Jørgensen. He graduated from the National Theatre School of Denmark in 1997.
His film roles include Erik in The Hunt (2012), the lawyer in The Commune (2016), the technician in A Conspiracy of Faith (2016), the censor in A Fortunate Man (2018), Matthias in Ehrengard: The Art of Seduction (2023), the doctor in The Girl with the Needle (2024) and Torsten in Speak No Evil (2024). Television credits include the cemetery caretaker in True Detective (2014).
On stage he has performed in solo plays including I Am My Own Wife, for which he received the Lauritzen Grant for Outstanding Performance. He has worked with directors Thomas Vinterberg and Bille August.
