Biography
James Acaster is an English comedian and actor. Born on 9 January 1985 in Kettering, Northamptonshire, he began performing stand-up comedy in 2008 after playing drums in local bands.
Acaster received five consecutive nominations for Best Comedy Show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and has appeared on panel shows including Taskmaster (2015) and Would I Lie to You? (2007). His four-part Netflix stand-up series Repertoire was released in 2018.
He played John in the 2021 film Cinderella and made his feature-film acting debut as Lars in Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (2024).
