Biography
James Baxter is an English actor born on 3 August 1990 in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear. He began acting at the city's Royalty Theatre through classes at the Northern Academy of Dramatic Arts and made his professional stage debut in the 2007 Edinburgh Festival production of Scarborough as Darren.
His television credits include Jake Doland in Emmerdale (2007–2009), Jesus in Red Dwarf (2012), Leroy in Still Open All Hours (2013–2019), Young Vesemir in The Witcher (2021), Anthony in Alma's Not Normal (2021) and Joe Casey in Waterloo Road (2023–present). He appears as Patrick Tanner in the 2026 Channel 5 series Forever Home.
