Biography
James R. Cunningham is a production designer and art department professional. He has worked extensively in film and television, with credits including production design on the series The Chosen (2019–2025) and the film Vishwaroopam (2013), as well as set decoration on Do You Believe? (2015).
A college roommate of director Dallas Jenkins, Cunningham began working in film on one of Jenkins’ early short films and has collaborated with him on multiple projects. He is noted for his research-intensive approach to period set design, drawing on archaeological and historical sources.
