Biography
Jamie Crichton is a British screenwriter and executive producer. Born in London on 22 November 1976, he studied English and Theatre Studies at Warwick University, followed by a Masters in Contemporary Literature and Culture. Before writing full time he worked as Head of Development at Really Useful Films.
His television writing credits include episodes of Ripper Street (2013), The Tunnel (2017), Grantchester (2019) and two episodes of The Last Kingdom (2020). He served as lead writer and executive producer on series 4 of All Creatures Great & Small (2022–2024) and wrote and executive produced the true-crime drama I Fought the Law (2025). He has received a BAFTA nomination for limited drama.
