Biography
Jamie Kennedy is a film and television editor. She grew up in Gorham, Maine, and graduated from Emerson College in Boston with a degree in media production in 2011. She began her career in post-production, working as a post-production assistant on the sitcom Modern Family before advancing to assistant editor and then editor on comedy series including You’re the Worst and Flipped.
Kennedy’s editing credits include the series Love, Victor (2020), On My Block (2021) and The Summer I Turned Pretty (2022–). Her first feature as editor was the 2022 satirical biopic Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, directed by Eric Appel, with whom she had previously collaborated on Die Hart. For the film she received an American Cinema Editors Eddie Award in 2023 for best edited non-theatrical feature and an Emmy nomination for outstanding picture editing.
