Biography
Jamie Savarese is a writer and director. She served as a staff writer on the Fox series The Big Leap (2021) and has writing credits on the ABC series R.J. Decker (2026).
She wrote, directed and produced the short film There's Something I Have to Tell You (2025), which premiered at the Beverly Hills Film Festival. Savarese, who is from Texas, has developed projects including the satirical dark comedy Haze with UCP and the queer coming-of-age feature Ciao Bella with Anonymous Content. She is currently developing a domestic thriller with ACE Entertainment.
Her scripts have appeared on the Out Loud List and the Love List. Her work has been recognised by the Black List x GM Incubator, the Black List To Be Commissioned Initiative, the Cannes Table Read Competition and the Tony Cox Feature Competition at the Nantucket Film Festival. She won Best Screenplay at the B!tchFest Film Festival for her romance-thriller Everyone Is Welcome Here.
