Biography
Janet Roach is an American screenwriter and television writer. She co-wrote the screenplay for the 1985 film Prizzi's Honor with Richard Condon, adapting Condon's novel; the film was directed by John Huston.
A graduate of Barnard College and Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism, Roach began her career in broadcast journalism as a researcher for CBS News. She later wrote for documentary series including CBS Reports, Creativity with Bill Moyers and A Walk Through the 20th Century with Bill Moyers. She received an Academy Award nomination, a BAFTA Award and a Writers Guild of America Award for Prizzi's Honor.
Roach also wrote the screenplay for the 1988 film Mr. North.
