Biography
János Breckl was a Hungarian costume designer. He was born on 9 May 1958 in Budapest and died there on 20 January 2022.
Breckl worked extensively in Hungarian cinema, providing costume design for Béla Tarr’s Satantango (1994) and Werckmeister Harmonies (2001). He also contributed costumes to Kontroll (2003), The Man from London (2008) and Jupiter’s Moon (2017), among other films, and served as costume supervisor on several productions. He occasionally appeared as an actor in smaller roles.
