Biography
Javicia Leslie is an American actress. She was born on 30 May 1987 in Augsburg, Germany, and raised in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. She attended Hampton University, where she appeared in stage productions including Seven Guitars, for colored girls, and Chicago.
After moving to Los Angeles, Leslie began her screen career with a lead role in the 2016 Lifetime film Killer Coach. She became a series regular on The Family Business (2018–2025) and God Friended Me (2018–2020). She starred as Ryan Wilder / Batwoman in the final two seasons of Batwoman (2021–2022) and made crossover appearances in The Flash (2021–2023). Other credits include MacGyver (2016) as Jesse Colton, the film Something from Tiffany's (2022), and Double Life (2023). She portrays Detective Daphne Forrester in the series High Potential (2024–present).
