Biography
Javier Gómez Santander is a Spanish screenwriter, journalist and former television presenter. Born in Peñacastillo, Cantabria in 1983, he trained in journalism and began his career in radio and television, working for outlets including Cadena SER and La Sexta before moving into scriptwriting.
He is best known as head writer and executive producer on the Netflix series Money Heist (2017–2021), the first Spanish series to win an International Emmy Award for Best Drama. He has also written episodes of Sky Rojo (2021), White Lines (2020) and The Pier (2019), and contributed to Money Heist: From Tokyo to Berlin (2021) as writer, producer and director. Earlier he published the novel El crimen del vendedor de tricotosas in 2015.
