Biography
Jay Lavender is an American screenwriter and producer. Born on 22 February 1975 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he grew up in Evanston, Illinois, and graduated from Dartmouth College. He moved to Los Angeles in 1997 and began working as an assistant while developing screenplays, selling his first script in 1999.
Lavender co-wrote the screenplay for the film The Break-Up (2006) with Jeremy Garelick, from a story by the pair and Vince Vaughn. He later collaborated again with Garelick on the screenplay for The Wedding Ringer (2015). He has also served as a producer on several projects, including The Fluffy Movie (2014).
