Biography
Jean Guinée was a French writer. He is credited with the original scenario for Jean Vigo’s feature film L’Atalante (1934).
Guinée, whose real name was Roger de Guichen, wrote a one-page scenario about barge dwellers on French canals. Producer Jacques-Louis Nounez passed the unproduced story to Vigo, who reworked it with Albert Riéra. The film was released in 1934.
