Biography
Jean-Luc Couchard is a Belgian actor born on 14 July 1969 in Dolhain, Limbourg. He trained at the Conservatoire de Liège and has worked extensively in theatre since the late 1980s, performing works by authors including Brecht, Marivaux, Molière and Shakespeare. He has also been the singer in the group Les Slip's since 1989.
Couchard is known for film roles including Jean-Claude in Dikkenek (2006), Le Belge in Taxi 4 (2007), Vanuxem's brother in Rien à déclarer (2010), Milou Demeuleu in My Worst Nightmare (2011), and Stieg Brodeck in Dead Man Talking (2012), for which he received a Magritte Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He voiced Le psy imaginaire in the animated film Titeuf (2011) and has appeared in later comedies such as Babysitting 2 (2015) and 3 Days Max (2023), as well as the series Baron noir (2018–2020).
