Biography
Jean-Paul Coquelin was a French actor. Born on 3 January 1924 in Paris, he died on 25 April 2001 in Saint-Germain-en-Laye. He was the son of actor Jean Coquelin and the grandson of actor Benoît-Constant Coquelin; his mother, Louise Didès, was also an actress.
Coquelin appeared in the 1960 films Le Trou, in which he played Lieutenant Grinval, and Le Capitan (also known as Captain Blood), as Vitry. He worked extensively in French television from the 1960s onwards, including episodes of Au théâtre ce soir and Les Cinq Dernières Minutes, and had a background in theatre.
