Biography
Jean-Pierre Martins is a French actor and musician. Born on 29 October 1971, he began his screen career in 2003 with a role in Laisse tes mains sur mes hanches directed by Chantal Lauby.
He is best known for portraying the boxer Marcel Cerdan in the 2007 biographical film La Vie en Rose, opposite Marion Cotillard. Martins is a member of the rock band Silmarils, in which he plays the saxophone, and has appeared in numerous films and television productions including The Horde (2009), The Gilded Cage (2013) and My Donkey, My Lover & I (2020).
