Biography
Jean-Pol Fargeau is a French screenwriter. He has frequently collaborated with director Claire Denis, co-writing ten of her films including Chocolat (1988), No Fear, No Die (1990), Beau Travail (1999), 35 Shots of Rum (2008), Bastards (2013) and High Life (2018).
Fargeau was born in 1950 in Marseille. He has also written for other directors, including Leos Carax on Pola X (1999), and collaborated with fashion designer Agnès B. on My Name Is Hmmm... (2013). Prior to his screen work he was active as a playwright and musician.
