Biography
Jefery Levy (1958–2026) was an American film and television director, producer and writer. Born in New York City, he wrote and produced the horror-comedy Ghoulies (1985) while a graduate student at UCLA. His feature directorial debut was Drive (1991), which won the FIPRESCI Award at the Venice Film Festival.
Levy directed episodes of numerous series, including Rescue Me (2004), Ghost Whisperer (2005), CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2000), Monk (2002), Eureka (2006), Dark Angel (2000), Roswell (1999), Sliders (1995), Numb3rs (2005) and Las Vegas (2003). His other feature films include Inside Monkey Zetterland (1992), S.F.W. (1994), Man of God (2005) and ME (2015). He taught at the USC School of Cinematic Arts and the American Film Institute.
