Biography
Jeff Kaplan is an American screenwriter. He has collaborated with writing partner Ian Springer for over a decade, having met while studying at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
Their early work includes the 2013 comedy Bert and Arnie’s Guide to Friendship, which Kaplan also directed and which won awards at the Hoboken International Film Festival and London Independent Film Festival. In 2022, Kaplan and Springer were hired by Marvel Studios to develop a story treatment for The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025); they received shared story and screenplay credits on the film alongside additional writers.
