Biography
Jennette McCurdy is an American writer, director and former actress. She began acting at the age of eight and appeared in guest roles on series including Malcolm in the Middle, Zoey 101 and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
She is best known for portraying Sam Puckett in the Nickelodeon sitcom iCarly (2007–2012) and its spin-off Sam & Cat (2013–2014). She guest-starred as Fawn "Ponnie" Liebowitz / Linda in the Victorious episode "Crazy Ponnie" (2012). McCurdy won four Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards for her work on iCarly.
McCurdy is the author of the memoir I'm Glad My Mom Died (2022), which topped bestseller lists and received the 2022 Goodreads Choice Award for Memoir & Autobiography and the 2023 American Library Association Alex Award.
