Biography
Jennifer Cecil is a television writer and producer, also credited as Jen Cecil. She began writing for series including Providence (2002) and One Tree Hill (2003–2005), contributing episodes as writer, teleplay and story.
Her subsequent writing credits include episodes of Brothers & Sisters (2007), 90210 (2009), Private Practice (2010–2012), Hostages (2013), Hell on Wheels (2014), Heartbeat (2016) and Notorious (2016). She has also held producing roles on many of these programmes, progressing to co-executive producer and executive producer positions, including on Private Practice and later series such as Notorious and The Umbrella Academy (2019).
Additional early credits encompass writing for So Weird (1999–2000) and the screenplay for the film Cadillac Ranch (1996).
