Biography
Jenö Csepreghy was a Hungarian film director, assistant director and editor. Born in Budapest in 1912, he gained early experience in the United States before returning to Hungary in 1933. He worked as an assistant director on several productions from 1937 and went on to direct six feature films, including Hungary's Revival (1939) and Money Talks (1940).
After emigrating following his final Hungarian film, Csepreghy worked internationally under the name John Shepridge. He served as one of the editors on Orson Welles's Othello (1951). His brother Béla Csepreghy was also a filmmaker. Csepreghy died in Spain in 1978.
