Biography
Jes Macallan is an American actress and television director. She is best known for playing Josslyn Carver in the ABC series Mistresses (2013–2016) and Ava Sharpe in DC's Legends of Tomorrow (2016–2022). She has also appeared in guest roles on series including Grey's Anatomy, Shameless, NCIS: Los Angeles, Red Band Society and Tracker.
Macallan began directing with the short film Self, E (2019), which she wrote, produced and directed. She has since directed episodes of DC's Legends of Tomorrow, All Rise, All American: Homecoming and Found, as well as multiple episodes of All American (from 2022). She graduated from the Warner Bros. Television Directors Workshop in 2019. She previously studied dance and holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Florida.
