Biography
Jess Brownell is a television writer and producer. She has worked at Shondaland since 2008, beginning as an assistant to executive producer Betsy Beers.
She contributed to the writers’ room on Scandal (2012), where she advanced from researcher to staff writer, and served as writer and producer on Inventing Anna (2022). Brownell joined the Bridgerton (2020) writers’ room for its first two seasons and became showrunner for seasons three and four.
