Biography
Jessica Klein was an American television writer and producer. She joined the Fox series Beverly Hills, 90210 for its second season in 1991, partnering with her then-husband and writing collaborator Steve Wasserman. She received writing or story credits on 46 episodes and producing credits on 156 episodes through the seventh season.
Klein began her career in children's television with Sesame Street and served as head writer on the daytime soap As the World Turns. She wrote for prime-time series including Northern Exposure, Mancuso, F.B.I. and Gabriel’s Fire. Later work included co-creating the teen series Just Deal and producing Scout’s Safari. She earned two Daytime Emmy nominations.
Born in Manhattan on 14 March 1956, Klein died on 13 July 2022 in Beverly Hills.
