Biography
Ji Chunhua, also credited as Gai Chun-Wa, Chi Chuen-Hwa and Gai Chun-Hua, was a Chinese actor and action choreographer. A wushu athlete trained in mainland China, he began his screen career in the 1982 Hong Kong martial arts film Shaolin Temple as Tu Ying, alongside Jet Li.
He frequently played bald villains, a result of alopecia totalis, in martial arts and action films including Kids from Shaolin (1984), Martial Arts of Shaolin (1986), Red Sorghum (1988) as Sanpao, The Legend II (1993), Legend of the Red Dragon (1994) and Three Kingdoms: Resurrection of the Dragon (2008). He also worked as an action choreographer and studied at Shanghai TV University. Ji was active from 1980 until his death in 2018.
