Biography

Joaquín Padró is a Spanish film and television producer. He studied at institutions in San Francisco and began his career in the late 1960s as a script and first assistant director on films shot in Spain, including work with Hammer Films. He later held roles in sales, production companies specialising in advertising and audiovisual work in Madrid and Barcelona.

In 1990 Padró founded Rodar y Rodar Group Ltd with Mar Targarona. The company initially focused on commercials before expanding into film and television fiction. Padró and Targarona have produced numerous features, including The Uninvited Guest (2005), The Orphanage (2007), Julia's Eyes (2010), The Body (2012), Boy Missing (2016), The Photographer of Mauthausen (2018) and The Wasteland (2021).
