Biography
Joe Davola is an American television and film producer, director and writer. He was born in Brooklyn, New York City, and raised in Rosedale, New York. He began his career at MTV as an associate producer and later became a senior executive producer, co-creating the game show Remote Control.
Davola joined Fox Broadcasting Company as Senior Vice President of Development, where he helped develop series including In Living Colour and The Ben Stiller Show. He later formed Tollin/Robbins Productions with Mike Tollin and Brian Robbins. The company produced series such as All That, The Amanda Show, Smallville and One Tree Hill (2003–2012), on which Davola served as executive producer and directed ten episodes.
He has also been involved in projects including What I Like About You and AwesomenessTV. The recurring character 'Crazy' Joe Davola on the sitcom Seinfeld was named after him.
