Biography
Joel Perez is an American actor. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, he grew up in Lawrence and graduated from Tufts University. He trained for a semester at the British American Drama Academy in London.
Perez began his career in theatre, appearing in the national tour of In the Heights (2010) and the Broadway production of Fun Home (2015–2016). His film and television credits include Lincoln in tick, tick... BOOM! (2021), an ensemble role in Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert (2018), and appearances in Person of Interest (2014) and Odd Mom Out (2017). He voices Valentino in the animated series Hazbin Hotel (2024–present) and has also contributed voices to Helluva Boss (2023). He received a Lucille Lortel Award for his work in Sweet Charity (2016–2017).
