Biography
Johan Rabaeus is a Swedish actor. Born Carl Magnus Johan Olof Rabéus on 31 July 1947 in Stockholm, he trained at Inge Wærn’s Teaterstudion and worked with Riksteatern before joining the Royal Dramatic Theatre (Dramaten) ensemble in 1984, where he has remained a regular performer.
He is known for film and television roles including the stepfather in Evil (2003), appearances in Faithless (2000), Exit (2006) and the Wallander series (2005), as well as earlier parts in Swedes at Sea (1988) and Beck – Eye for an Eye (1998). Rabaeus has received awards including the Litteris et Artibus medal in 2006 and the Dramatens O’Neill-stipendium in 2013.
