Biography
Johann Perry is a British cinematographer. He holds a Diploma from the Art Foundation Course at Cambridge and a BA Hons in Media Production from Newcastle upon Tyne. He began his career as a focus puller and camera operator before working extensively as a documentary director of photography.
Perry has shot numerous documentaries and factual series, including Civilisations (2018) and Nail Bomber: Manhunt (2021). His drama credits include Against the Law (2017), for which he received a BAFTA nomination for Best Photography and Lighting in Fiction, as well as episodes of Gentleman Jack, Happy Valley and The Tourist.
