Biography
Johanne-Marie Tremblay is a Canadian actress. Born in Montreal in 1950, she made her screen debut in the 1988 film Straight for the Heart and was subsequently cast by Denys Arcand as Constance in Jesus of Montreal (1989). She received a Genie Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for the role.
Tremblay became a familiar face on Quebec television in the 1990s, appearing in series including Les Filles de Caleb and La Sorcière. She reprised the character of Constance in Arcand's The Barbarian Invasions (2003) and Days of Darkness (2007). Other film credits include Polytechnique (2009), The Dismantling (2013) and a voice role in the animated feature Ville Neuve (2018).
