Biography
John Asher, also credited as John Mallory Asher, is an American actor, film director and screenwriter. Born on 13 January 1971 in Los Angeles, California, he began acting in the early 1990s with guest roles in series including Beverly Hills, 90210 and Married... with Children. He is known for playing Gary Wallace in the USA Network series Weird Science (1994–1998).
Asher has directed episodes of television series including One Tree Hill (2003) and films such as Diamonds (1999) and Dirty Love (2005). His biological father is actor Edward Mallory; his adoptive father is producer and director William Asher, who was married to his mother, actress Joyce Bulifant.
