Biography
John Biggins is a British actor born in 1958 in Leeds. He trained initially as a graphic designer before studying theatre arts and becoming a professional actor in 1983 after postgraduate drama studies at the Sherman Theatre, University College, Cardiff.
Biggins has appeared in numerous television roles, including Driver in the first series of The Thick of It (2005), Pub Landlord in Downton Abbey (2019), multiple characters in Coronation Street (2005–2022), Stan Murdoch in Duck Patrol (1998), and Gareth in Bad Move (2017–2018). His credits also include guest roles in Lewis, Cuckoo, A Touch of Cloth and Endeavour.
