Biography
John Corbett is an American actor and singer. Born John Joseph Corbett Jr. on 9 May 1961 in Wheeling, West Virginia, he began his career with a guest role in the series The Wonder Years (1988). He had previously worked in a steel mill before studying hairdressing and taking acting classes.
His breakthrough came playing Chris Stevens, a radio disc jockey, in the CBS series Northern Exposure (1990–1995), for which he received Primetime Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. He is also known for the role of Aidan Shaw in Sex and the City (2000–2003) and as Ian Miller in My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002) and its sequels.
Corbett has appeared in films including Tombstone (1993), Serendipity (2001) and the To All the Boys I've Loved Before trilogy (2018–2021). He married actress Bo Derek in 2020.
