Biography
John Coveny is a television writer and producer. He co-created the neo-Western crime drama series Longmire (2012) with Hunt Baldwin. The series, adapted from novels by Craig Johnson, ran for six seasons; Coveny served as developer, wrote multiple episodes, and acted as executive producer and showrunner.
Coveny has written episodes of Yellowstone (2018) and worked as co-executive producer on the series. His other credits include writing and producing roles on The Closer (2005) and writing for Deputy (2020). He received one win and one nomination for his work on Longmire.
