Biography
John Doran is an Irish actor. Born in Kilkenny, he studied acting in Dublin. He has worked extensively in theatre, performing at the Abbey Theatre, the Gate Theatre, Dublin, the Kilkenny Arts Festival and the Dublin Theatre Festival, as well as with Fishamble and at the Edinburgh Fringe.
On screen he is known for the role of Weegee in the 2025 film Blue Moon. Other credits include appearances in the series Northern Lights (2023), Small Town, Big Story (2025), Irish Blood (2025) and Sherlock & Daughter (2025), and several short films.
