Biography
John Fusco is an American screenwriter, producer and television series creator. Raised in Prospect, Connecticut, he left high school early to travel the American South as a blues musician before returning to complete his education and graduating from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
His screenplays include Crossroads (1986), Young Guns (1988), Young Guns II (1990), Thunderheart (1992), Hidalgo (2004), Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron (2002) and The Highwaymen (2019). He created and served as showrunner on the Netflix series Marco Polo (2014). Fusco has also written novels and continues to perform as a blues musician.
