Biography
John Gallaudet (1903–1983) was an American film and television actor. Born John Beury Gallaudet in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he attended Williams College and began his career on the Broadway stage in the mid-1920s, appearing in productions including When You Smile (1925), On the Spot (1930) and Lost Horizons (1934).
He moved to Hollywood in 1936, signing with Columbia Pictures and appearing in more than 30 features over the next three years, often in supporting roles. Gallaudet continued working in film and television until 1974, with credits including Holiday Inn (1942), Pickup on South Street (1953), In Cold Blood (1967) as Roy Church, and guest appearances in series such as Perry Mason, Bewitched and Batman. He was married twice, first to actress Wynne Gibson and later to Constance Helen MacKenzie.
