Biography
John Edvard Harryson (also credited as John Harrysson) was a Swedish actor. Born on 17 April 1926 in Katrineholm, he appeared as Lelle in Ingmar Bergman's Summer with Monika (1953). He was the father of actor and television host Peter Harryson.
Harryson had a long career in film, television and theatre, with roles including the Russian submarine captain in The Jönsson Gang Turns Up Again (1986) and parts in series such as Raskens (1976) and Hedebyborna (1978–1982). He was also a voice actor, providing the Swedish voice for Scrooge McDuck, Eeyore in Winnie the Pooh, Doctor Snuggles and the Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood (1973). He died on 28 November 2008 in Stockholm.
