Biography
John Lund (6 February 1911 – 10 May 1992) was an American stage, film and radio actor. After working in advertising and appearing in a 1939 World's Fair production, he made his Broadway debut in As You Like It (1941) and gained notice in New Faces of 1943 and The Hasty Heart. Paramount signed him to a contract, and his first film was To Each His Own (1946).
He is known for roles including Captain John Pringle in A Foreign Affair (1948), Bill Harkness in No Man of Her Own (1950) and George Kittredge in High Society (1956). Lund also played the title character in the radio series Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar from 1952 to 1954. He served as vice president of the Screen Actors Guild from 1950 to 1959 and retired from acting in the early 1960s.
