Biography
John Maxwell (11 March 1918 – 18 July 1982) was an American film and television actor. Born in Spokane, Washington, he appeared in over 100 films during the 1940s and 1950s, frequently in uncredited roles.
His credits include the Judge in The Bigamist (1953), Bud Crocker in The Prowler (1951), Dr Swanson in The Asphalt Jungle (1950) and an uncredited Doctor in The War of the Worlds (1953). He also had guest roles in television series such as The Lone Ranger, Lassie, The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp, The Rifleman and Bonanza, and played Pappy Sawyer in the Disneyland miniseries The Nine Lives of Elfego Baca.
