Biography
John Morris is an American screenwriter and producer. He began his career writing the 2005 independent film Never Been Thawed and went on to work on a series of studio comedies.
Morris has collaborated extensively with director Sean Anders. Their joint credits include the screenplays for We're the Millers (2013), Daddy's Home (2015), Daddy's Home 2 (2017), Instant Family (2018) and Spirited (2022). He also served as producer on several of these projects, including Instant Family.
Other writing credits include Sex Drive (2008), Hot Tub Time Machine (2010), She's Out of My League (2010), Mr. Popper's Penguins (2011), Horrible Bosses 2 (2014) and Dumb and Dumber To (2014).
